This was the 2nd time for me to have a chance of celebrating the New Year in the korean style.I am lucky also to have good friends in korea.I have been invited by my friends to visit their homes on the Salal(Right?)/Lunar New Year.The reaosn of my friend's invitation was to make me familiar with the korean culture and to have good time with her family members.I went to her home with her brother(younger) and his girl friend.They came to my school to pick me up,i think this is a korean way of inviting the guests to their homes, and we went to her(my friend's) home and met her parents and brothers.Wow,all are so good as a person and so kind and generous by heart that i couldn't feel that i am in a foreign country,though i couldn't talk much with her parents because of the language problem.I played "go/stop" with her and her brothers,it was first time to learn and play this card-game but i got expertise in that game just in a very short time.We played all the day and ate a lot of snacks,home made,and many more.Wow,it was so nice to meet a good friend and her lovely family.They live in the out-skirts of Kwangju,so great it was!I wish to spend all of my time like this and meet so many nice people in korea,whose love and affection is beyond anything.I wanted to wish/greet her parents in the korean language so i learned that sentence and a few others to express my feelings for them.I spoke pporly in the korean when i was leaving their home "Abonim,amonim, sye he pu many padu seyo"and my friends' parents were laughing to hear my korean and gave me a lot of blessings. What a nice family that i met on such a beautiful occassion! I wish all of you,KIDS' members and their lovely family,a very HAPPY & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR(Salal!)!!
