As I look around gazing at the world that surrounds me, comfortably laying back on my rocking chair alongside a window outlooking at the horizon, with a fresh new Cuban Cigar, ever so divine in its fragrance, stuck firmly in my mouth, I cannot help but feel myself at a total loss for the lack of enough vocabulary to describe this continuing saga of rapid changes. We are in a new era, a visciously evolving new generation abundant in every materialistic aspects of life, but ever so noticably absent of the simple but necessary things in life, such simple little things as humanly affection and a goodhearted burst of laughter now and then. Yes, my friends, that is the point. I realise the problem now. There is just too dang little laughter in this world. Or then again, maybe it's just the women, because we certainly have quite a few manslaughter, hehe. Every now and then, I sit back and wonder, where all this is coming to. It's a crazy world out there, and I feel closer to God each day. (Really?) This is the world we live in. The world enriched with radiowaves in all frequencies, the world where such "communication-istically" sophisticated terms as "Information Highways" are well settled in the vocabulary of one of the least expected persons, like that Bill something whachamacallit. I remember the days~, when values were values, and morals were morals, when "calling a friend" meant shouting your guts out your window so that your friend Churi who lived fives houses down the unpaved village road could hear you. And you didn't even have to "open" the window, either. We had no glass, just Changhoji, with so many holes large and small even the neighbor's pig could pass right through. Voice was no problem. So seriously, my friends, is all this worth it? Are you happy now? If you're feeling weary, feeling small, when tears are in your eyes, as is in mine from the heavy smoke from the new cigar *COUGH*, then why not join the Uncle Asadal's Geureumbo Club at Mount Nam It is a perfect hideaway from the hassles of everyday modern life, with no obligations.
