People, especially women, are likely to use this sentence in agreeing that the majority of great people are men. In fact, I believe it might be true as history shows. For instance, they say that Hillary Clinton, first lady in the US, seems to be superior to her spouse for she shows her ability in making national decisions. The president, however, is not her but her spouse. As for my country, there was a great woman who had big talents in every respect- writing, drawing, embroidering, calligrapher, and so on. In general, Koreans regard her as the simbol of a wise mother and a good wife. In addition, her son named Yulgok was the master of Confucianism. For this reason, although people knew her name is Shinsaimdang,' they usually called her Yulgoks mother. What made them behind? People believe that women are wiser and more intelligent than the opposite gender. In spite of it, as long as we know, they have been held back since the dawn of history. It could be the reason that physical strength has been made to work for the most powerful through the Agricultural and Industrial Revolution. I dont believe the premise that women was weaker before written history began. To be sure, if a professional women basketball team played with an amateur highschool mens team, they would lose the game. Its evidence that women are physical less strong. Due to it, they couldnt get out from behind. During the Third Revolution, however, physical strength alone is not good enough to have power, it needs more intelligence, wisdom, common sence, and information about the world. Thats the reason we can see that the more developed a country is, the more outstanding the women are. |
