My company makes a certain product, which is a system consisting of many sub-components. Now, my problem is that one of the components has the name "ASS." Of course it's not a real ass, just the initials of the three words in the real name happen to be A, S & S. The first time I started working here, i was cracking up every time the "ASS" was mentioned. And it is mentioned a lot, I tell you. Now, my question is, should an American see all the ASSes in all our documents and even system output denoting "ASS #1," "ASS #2" and so on, will he or she think of it as something pathetically funny (will it destroy the company image?) or think nothing of it? I'm looking for any type of responses, the more the better. This is a serious ASS problem, my company's future may depend on it. :) Thank you. |
