The lyric is something about the purity and being smeared by the world. It goes [When I was a kid, I read an essay and so much impressed. but now.. when I start to see someone, I'd check what kind of car (s)he has. ....... When I was a kid, I sometimes cry because of the tragic characters of cartoon books. but now.. when I start to see someone, I'd check what kind of job his(her) father has. ........ What we don't have now is maybe something very big. What we've lost is not the small thing, whereas what we have now is not the big thing.] (Tricky interpretation. I know.) When I first heard this song, I didn't know what this song meant. but nowadays, I came to know what it means. The rape cases, corruptions, Lack of moral standards, the total destruction of traditional ways, mammonism, etc, etc, etc. As the song says, what we've lost is not something small. On the contrary, we lost so big things. So big that we even don't realize how much we've lost. Just for the money, just for the goal, just for the fun. Appreciate what others do or what others think is also important. Sometimes we can hear the feeble voices, weak voices coming right from our heart. The voices which we think we lost a long time ago. but they fade away so fast. Sometimes we can read some [HUMANE] articles here, saying [I love you deeply.] or [I'm so desperately lonely.], [I wanna cry.], [What a desolete place this world is.], and so on, on, on.... It's so natural for us to cry sometimes, to feel lonely to the bones sometimes, to get astrayed sometimes, to be confused sometimes, to want to avoid what we should do sometimes.... All because we are all humans. But, we also can feel the pressure outside of us, saying [Hey! You should be perfect. You don't have time for this mess. Just go and go. Otherwise, someone will pass you. Don't be a loser! You should beat the others!!!!] Can we beat all the competitors in this respect ? The only thing that matters in our lives is [Beat the others and achieve something great] ? I don't know the right answer for this question. Maybe what we really need is not the money, but the spirit. The spirit which will guide us in the dark to the illumination. What do you guys think about it ?
