I just couldn't understand the reason why you posted them. And I still think there were some extreme points on your view about korean culture. I came to the states not that long time ago, so I think, I know korean culture better that you do even a bit. I've lived in korea for 19 years and came to the states last year... I've been taught by teachers in korea for 12 years. Yah, you were right that they couldn't speak English quite well... But I think, you shouldn't just blame on teachers. Think about the korean education system. What else could they teach to students in that short time?( i assume that you know korean highschool students have to take about 16 subjects year) Still better than nothing.. How many of them would actually have to speak English in their lives? At least, learning grammars helps them alot when they get into colleges and have to look over original English documents.. Not korean translated ones.. And about korean rappers... I dont like those music, either... lyric 혃f 'Eu-ri-deul man-ui chu-up' by Seo Taeji is nothing but boasting himself, I think. And all those korean raps sound funny to me.. but I don't think Koreans shouldn't listen to them or even think of having rap music in korea. It's their freedom.. as you have the right to post your opinions here.. I know there are tons of problems in korea and there are a lot of people on kids who are aware of them. But they don't post thier opions like as you did... you know why? because they know it's not a simple problem and posting them on kids doesn't make any difference. hmmm.. I hope you didn't get mad at me.. I just wanted tell you that lots of people in Korea think different way from what you think of their(our) culture.. and I think Poem and Bazooka were kinda offensive against your opinions aobut them. I don't say the way you wrote those articles were great, but I know that I was wrong to post such a stupid message aginst you... I suggest you to visit some other places besides downtown Seoul in Korea.. such as market places, highschools, and so on..not those places where people gather and just play around... One thing I did in Korea when I got kinda depressed was walking around market places.. Looking around people who seemed to have no hope still sit there and try to earn 100 won 200 won.. hmm... I think it's enuff for now.. I am glad that I know a Korean-American who really cares about Korea.. 8) You are still better than some americanized koreans.. They do'nt care about kroea at all and sometimes they feel bad about about being koreans.. I better get goign now.. Take care.. |
