I did a research paper on Asian Americans not too long ago..I think it's about time that both Koreans AND Euros recognized US as a separate group..as minorities, we are given no respect by whites..when other minority groups underachieve (and, it is not their fault), Anglos are upset..they view the former as being "burdens on society"...when Koreans overachieve, Whites get mad..we are a threat to their power..the worst part of it is that White America has stereotyped the Korean worker/student as being "super intellectuals", therefore we must work at that much of a higher level..but, we are all different..it is almost impossible for a Korean to "be all that he can be" because, as you said, there is a glass ceiling, which allows us to see higher jobs, but prevents us from reaching them..who built the USA and Canda? It was us, along with our other Asian brothers and sisters..Europeans basically came, built a few cottages, and brougth over thousands ofblacks and forced them to work to create America's breadbasket.the Chinese created the railways, which connect the west to the east, and allowed modernization..Koreans and Japanese too helped in the sugar plantaions..but where are we in the textbooks? That makes me furious. Though we are as much a part of this nation as any other race, we must work a step more, to be two steps back of the governing white race..the "status quo" of America..
