Usually when an American says outgoing it means that a person is very talkative and friendly (even with people she doesn't know) When I was teaching Side-By_side 1, there was a page about an outgoing person and a shy person. The outgoing person was atheletic andnever watched tv or listened to music. I think that is a bad representation of "outgoing". "extroverted" is the same thing. I am "outgoing"...and it means I talk a lot (maybe too much! (: ) and i really enjoy spending time with other people. but i also like watching tv and movvies and listening to music. (a shy person might enjoy time alone MORE than time with others) If I meet new people, it is easy for me to talk to them. I hope this helps (sorry i don't know the korean word..my dictionary is in my suitcase) finix: the "meetings" you described sound really fun! (: Dan-Bee |
