I am a Korean - American who have been in the U.S. for 23 years (definitly white inside - yellow outside as one of the terms used in a previous memo). I live on the East Central Florida Coast near Kennedy Space Center as an Electrical Engineer working on telemetry systems for Raytheon Company. My favorite recreational activity is probably fishing (there are plenty of ribbon fish - or us Koreans would call it kychi or something like that year round. Although I have lived here most of my life, I still consume quit a bit of rice and kimchi. My favorite Korean dish is Jhomphong - you know, that really spicy noodles with all kinds of sea creatures. I have been back to Korea a number of times to visit my relatives in Mason. I really enjoyed my visits except for not being able to speak, write, or even speak fluent Korean made it very difficult to communicate - especially when you run into that special girl and say "woodee bop moga gaja?" and "woodee norlo gaja" (to translate in english "us rice eat lets go" and "play lets go"). With pick lines like that I'll be single for long time to come. Oh well thats enough said about myself. I would like to continue on by thanking the sysop for putting on a message section for English only, since I would have no other way of communicating with other Koreans via Internet. Thus far this is the only board that I have found that catters to persons such as myself. I have been getting familiar with the internet only in the last couple of monthes. I think being able to communicate with other Koreans in this manner is really great. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! That's All Folks Surgi EM: stroud@patrick-pims.af.mil |
