Just came back from biz trip to Japan.. hot, humid over there.. I think somebody inquired a while ago if I was a Korean.. and if not how would I know some Korean words, such as 'Hak-Won'.. etc.. Tell you what.. I have many Korean friends, and this soul used to nest in Korea for about half a year.. (short.. but what an experience..!) I still pay a visit to Seoul once in a while mixing business and pleasure.. :) I basically love Seoulites.. my business partners over there are very friendly and sharp as well. I used to give seminars for some 'semi-private' groups of people (or org such as KPC, etc)... A question that I have today, my dear eo bro's/sis', is... About 3 months ago, I stayed at one of the best hotels in Seoul (Near Namsan). At the day of check-out, my business partner wanted to take the tab for me. I was at a distance watching his check-out procedure, something was delaying, and I found out the counter clerk held the clearance until one of the boys actually went up to my room and checked out the status of a little convenience refrig.. (to check what I had consumed..etc..) Now, when I was checking out myself, I had never been treated like that.. What would be the possible explanation for this? Is this situational.. or random trigger... or what? I'm quite curious to hear from native Koreans. Gene Drexler. |
