Among these series, 25-26 is a psychological monologue of Shinji not exactly related to the story line. So there were a lot of requests demanding remake of those two episodes. Eva. the Movie I: The first half of this is just a summary of TV series. The other half is the remake of episode 25. (It ends without actually finishing a story!!!) This one is subtitled as "DEATH AND REBIRTH." (Not Revival, man!) Eva. the Movie II: The first half of this is just a summary of Eva. Movie I. The other half is the remake of episode 26. (It ends... finally.) This one is subtitled as "AIR: MY TRUE MIND GOES TO YOU.:)" Also there is an edition that combines remake parts of those two movies excluding summary part. If you are a pervent collector of Eva, you get 'em all. If you don't like weird monologue part of Shinji and think that summary part is the waste of tape and time (LIKE ME!), get TV Series 1-24 + Combination Version (that I mentioned at the last.). Personally, I just regard Eva. as a bunch of commercial mysteries. It's battle scenes are, however, really splendid. |
