Well, since I'm not sure of its spellings, let me drop the title there :). Anyway, it's an above average film among those I've seen. I can't understand why you were unable to "bear" first 5 minutes. The drawing quality is splendid, though not much its storyline is. If you didn't like the first 5 minutes, it's very likely that you are not going to be crazy about the rest of movie, at least. I totally agree with other most people, however, that it's a more than just a good movie. Anno Hideyaki once said, "Wings of H... has a perfect storyline (heh?), a great quality of drawing, but it failed because of no handsome guys and dolls present in it. From where I began to hate so-called Otakus" If I score it personally, 90/100 looks reasonable. I, too, collect anime tapes like you and its one of the most valuable stuff among my possession. If you can't get acquainted with it, try Korean-captioned version. I once had the same dilemma like you, (bought a lot of tapes and didn't really want to see it. It came like a responsibility, didn't it?) and overcome with captioned tapes. It gives a lot more of motivation to see it through. By the way, the best choice of mine is "Laputa, Castle in the Sky". (I know you already saw it. Am I right?) And don't forget Giant Robo! Happy Anime-watching! |
