When someone "believes" that it will rain tomorrow because there's a credible information, then the meaning of "belief" is closer to that of "conviction", not "faith". I "believe" that what conflicts with logic is the "faith" side of "belief", and I also "believe" that's what Mr.parsec intended to say. And you know it, don't you?
