If an airliner collides, the building will collapse. 2. The building will collapse is not a proper logical deduction because there's no saying whether an airliner will collide or not. If the collision of an airliner is not given, the building collapsing and not collapsing both stands with 1. Su 2. is not a conclusion from 1. But 1. If an airliner collides, the building will collapse. 2. An airliner will collide with the building. 3. From 1 and 2, The building will collapse Here the collision is given, and according to 1, the result is a collapse. And 3 is a logical conclusion. It's a simple syllogism. Didn't you learn it before you entered college? I cannot understand how you can be ignorant of it. If you still cannot understand syllogism, you can rummage some volume of books on basic logics. ◇ ~~~_ _ ∴ ~|~| | _/__, SEP. 11. 2001 _ ∴∴ _ ~ | | \ ` Armorica under a tat ,-| `,-,_| |__ | | | A ______|_|__|_|___|__|| | |__|_|_____________________________________ |
