A one year research position is available at University College Lodndon (UCL) for the application of identification and model reduction to chemical processes. The project has the objective of extending the methods of principal component analysis for use with dynamic systems. The ideal candidate would be control systems engineer having a masters degree or a PhD with a high mathematical content. A knowledge of linear systems theory, integral transforms and matrix methods is essential. The successful candidate will join a team at UCL working on process control, process operations and instrumentation in collaboration with UK companies, the Centre for Process Systems Engineering at Imperial College and the Centre for Biochemical Engineering at UCL.
