These positions are for students who are committed to do Ph.D dissertation research. Students with a mater degree already referred. Following positions are available for your applications: 1. High speed electrooptic modulator. Need strong background in microwave transmission line design and familiar with bandwidth measurement up to 100 GHz. This position has to be a US citizen 2. Optical control of microwave signal. Need to know optical holography, antenna theory, conversion of optical signal to microwave signal through optical heterodyne technique. 3. Computer architecture for the implementation of optical interconnects. Need to have strong background in both computer architecture specially related to parallel processing and photonic devices. 4. CMOS Process-compatible Optical Interconnect Technology. Basic understanding of Si-based microelectronic device fabrication is required.
