SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE PROJECT INCLUDE: * Research sponsored by an industrial consortium of natural gas producers * Opportunity for active interactions with industrial colleagues * The Research Associate will be involved in - Developing state-of-the-art models for description of phase and electrolyte equilibria, two-phase hydrodynamics, and corrosion in systems of interest to the natural gas industry - Establishing and validating a data base for evaluation of predictive methods - Developing and maintaining an application program in Visual C++ and Fortran - Working closely with Principal Investigators -- Professors Jan Wagner, Alan Tree and Martin High DETAILS OF THE POSITION: * Stipend is $1,200/mo. * Recipient must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
