I am Soonhoi Ha, not a CE graduate, but a lecturer in the CE dept. SNU. I was asked to post this "job opportunity" from Applied Materials. If you KNOW someone (including yourself) who is seeking a good position, please read the following. Applied Materials corp. is a well-known company to build facilities and instruments for semiconductor manufacturing. They are very strong in their field. They are now looking for software engineer (junior or entry level programmer in C, assembly). Big companies like Samsung, LG and Hyundai are using their products: so AM needs people to support these companies in site. This position is not for sales but for techinal staffs. Qualification: anyone who is good at programming in C or assembly language. C++ experience is better. Can be trained for 1 year in Santa Clara, CA without visa problem. Position: Junior or entry level programmer. Will be a software technical staff in the near future. Work description: program or debug application/system programs to control the manufacturing machines. Their plan is to use Windows NT in the near future. GUI programming is also planed. Once accepted, he/she will be trained in the company at Santa Clara, CA, USA for 1 year with $30,000 - $35,000 / year salary plus housing. After training he/she will join the AMK (AM Korea) in CheonAn with high salary compared with other companies. AM is seeking 1 - 4 people urgently, so it will not make any public job announcement.
